Osteo-Scan North East provides a mobile osteoporosis scanning service for:

Scanning is carried out by a State Registered Radiographer, who is a member of the Independent Diagnostic Practitioners' Association, ensuring that all scanning is carried out to a high professional standard in line with all recognised protocols and regulations.

Mobile bone density scanning offers:

A convenient, cost effective way to access a programme of osteoporosis diagnosis, prevention and management.

A reliable form of bone density scanning, using a DTX200, recommended by WHO as being comparable to full Dexa scan results.

Peripheral scanning to provide a screening service, enabling only those requiring full Dexa scans to be referred on, reducing waiting times and costs for full Dexa scans.

An alternative private provider for densitometry, shorter waiting times and easy access.

Immediate results: computerised results sent directly to the referrer enabling early treatment/intervention, if required.

On-Site at referrers premises:
Osteo-ScanNorthEast provides all equipment and paperwork.
Fracture risk assessment questionnaires provided.
Only a small room & 13amp power supply required.
No patient preparation required.
Full analysis of scans provided at the end of session.
Costs based on per scan or per session, tailored to suit your requirements.

Off-Site at alternative location:
Patients/clients attend off-site scanning session, possibly close to their home.
Fracture risk assessment questionnaires provided.
Full analysis and report produced immediately and forwarded to referrer.
Costs based on per patient, per group or per session, depending on requirements.
